Dear all:

This Ain’t The Summer Of PickNickMagick Any More, More, More…

UPDATED AND CHANGED WEBSITES FOR ME AND US

I am gradually moving all my sites to be sections of DavidTibet.com. At the moment, the CopticCat, Myrninerest and CountStenbock websites are under construction, and are automatically redirecting to DavidTibet.com. They will eventually reappear as separate headings under DavidTibet.com; there will be other separate headings too.

This email is being sent from CopticCat.com. But the next email will be sent from DavidTibet.com. We will be transferring the email addresses of all subscribers to CopticCat.com to DavidTibet.com. If you do not wish us to do this, please let us know and we will not transfer your address.

C93 3LP EDITION OF I AM THE LAST OF ALL THE FIELD THAT FELL / MY NAME IS NEARLY ALL THAT’S LEFT NOW AVAILABLE

The final edition of the new C93 album, I AM THE LAST OF ALL THE FIELD THAT FELL, is released in an edition of 313 copies to mark C93’s PickNick in Tilburg. It comes in a 6-panel fold-out black and white screen-printed poster sleeve featuring artwork and holograph texts by David, printed on 270g black card, inserted into a sealable transparent record cover, screen-printed with reproductions of some of David's hand-written texts for the album on both sides in metallic copper ink. A folded A3 insert that accompanies the 3LP has all texts from the album and band line-up details.

The 3LP set consists of a previously unreleased 2LP version of the album with Brother Norbert Kox reading his poem 2000 PIGS on the album; it differs from the versions already released on CD and 2LP vinyl as they contained different poems by Norbert. The final item in this 3LP set is a vinyl version of MY NAME IS NEARLY ALL THAT’S LEFT (previously only available as a limited tour CD), which consists of David's two spoken word versions of his text for the album hovering over Electric Sound, with David as Gramary and Andrew Liles as Electricity. Please note that, although we are taking orders now, it is unlikely that we will be able to mail out the item until the end of September after we return from the Netherlands.

DAVID TIBET: SING OMEGA—COLLECTED SINGSONGS 2014—1984—BACK IN STOCK IN 4 WEEKS

We have also just done a second printing of 393 copies, which will only be available from www.davidtibet.com. This second edition has identical text to the first printing, apart from a slight difference in the colophon. However, it does have a different frontispiece photograph of David, different printed endpapers, and the front, spine and back images are blocked in metallic copper ink, as opposed to the black ink on the cover of the first standard edition, and the pink ink on the cover of the first special edition (which sold out before publication). We are taking pre-orders now and the book is back on the shop; the book should be available in about 3 weeks.

JOHN DEVLIN INDIEGOGO CAMPAIGN: "OUTSIDER ARTIST PLANS TRIP TO NYC"

One of my favourite artists, the extraordinary John Devlin, has started an IndieGogo campaign to fund his trip to NYC to attend the opening of his agent Christian Berst's gallery there. I have already bought three of the Platinum Level subscriber packages. I have a small collection of his amazing work.

MEGAN DIDDIE AND HER UTTERLY EXQUISITE BOOK

I was lucky, and honoured, enough to receive a copy of Mega Diddie’s astonishing book, Pollinate/Pollute. I cannot praise it, or her, highly enough. Below is her description of the project and the book which was born from it.

Pollinate/Pollute is an artist book created by Megan Diddie and contains a series of ink and brush drawings depicting imagery related to agriculture. Corn, soy, wasps, and other flora and fauna are rendered in isolated images reflecting the strange relationships we have with our food sources. The paintings were scanned and printed onto paper Diddie made from soy and corn plant fibers. These plants were harvested in the Fall of 2013 and then made in paper at Fresh Press Paper studio in the Spring of 2014. Half of each book is made with soy fibers and the other half with corn fibers. The pages alternate to reflect the crops in central Illinois, the place where the book was conceived and created. One of the books has recently been acquired by the Joan Flasch Artist book Collection at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. ALEKSANDRA WALISZEWSKA: PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION

Please, if you can, sign this petition.

A very dear artist friend of mine has been officially requested to leave her flat in Warsaw. The only hope she has of keeping it is to try to convince the mayor how highly regarded her work is by showing she has many people who love her work—as I do.

Her name is ALEKSANDRA WALISZEWSKA and a website with her work is here:

http://waliszewska.tumblr.com/

Her FaceBook page is here:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Aleksandra-Waliszewska/152642531244

I am hoping you might add your name to this petition. I have contributed writings to several of her art books and she also supplied the painting for the cover of the MIGHTY IN SORROW book, a collection of horror and fantasy fiction published by Dynatox Krall as a tribute to my, and C93’s, work.

If you wish to sign, you should need to go to this Polish website:

http://www.petycjeonline.com/aleksandra_waliszewska_-_petycja_ws_lokalu_przy_nowym_wiecie

and scroll down to the bottom. Next to "Imię" enter your first name; next to "Nazwisko" enter your family name; next to "Miejscowość " enter your town

or city. Your "Kraj" ("country") should come up as your own country automatically; mine did. If not, you will have to scroll down to find your country's Polish name. Most are easily recognisable. The USA is "Stany Zjednoczone"

Then hit the PODPISZ PETYCJE button at the bottom. You will then get an email from the petition company POTWIERDZIĆ and you just click on the link it sends.

Her statement is below.

Thank you all, and fingers crossed.

David Tibet+++

We, the undersigned below, petition the Mayor of Warszawa-Śródmieście district to support Aleksandra Waliszewska’s attempt to obtain permission to rent her flat located in the centre of the city.

It is an attic council flat that has been (using her own money) by the artist’s recently deceased grandmother, Anna Dębska, in 1956. Anna Dębska was a Polish sculptress who has created, and displayed, her animal sculptures in many locations throughout Poland, as well as in the USA during her stay there. Aleksandra Waliszewska has been living in the flat since her birth, and it has been a frequent source of inspiration to her, the background for many of her works, a working studio as well as frequently a meeting-place for other artists. As such, this is no mere living-quarter, but a location with its own definite history, featured in many publications and magazines over several decades.

Aleksandra Waliszewska came up with an initiative to make the place accessible as a type of “private” gallery, devoted to her own artistic practice and to her family’s female artistic history. The artist’s great-grandmother was a writer of fables, while her mother is a sculptress and a writer. In a way, it could be compared to a situation made possible by the Instytut Awangardy which allowed many viewers to see the living quarters/studio of Edward Krasiński and Henryk Stażewski.

We are certain that Aleksandra Waliszewska’s initiative is an important step in the creation of another inspiring spot on Warsaw’s cultural map. —
