The first in a series of reissues of C93 material from the last 2,000 years is in process. It will be a 2LP record in gatefold sleeve, bringing together versions, remastered by the bricoleur, of SWASTIKAS FOR NODDY and its alternate alien recording, CROOKED CROSSES FOR THE NODDING GOD. There will also be a 2CD digipak of the collection.

The rest of C93’s back catalogue will follow with a skip and a hop and a peek-a-boo..

STEVEN STAPLETON / DAVID TIBET COMPLETE RECORDINGS TO BE REISSUED AS 3LP VINYL & 2CD DIGIPAK

Steven and I are also to be reissuing all of the work we did together under the Stapleton/Tibet name. The first release will be a 3LP in a signed silk-screened fold out poster sleeve, featuring artwork by us both, bringing together the albums THE SADNESS OF THINGS, MUSICAL PUMPKIN COTTAGE and MUSICALISCHER KÜRBSHÜTTE, as well as two non-album pieces, “The Fire Of The Mind” and “ILeft Her For A Cartoon Octopus”. There will also be a 2CD digipak of the collection.

SECOND EDITION OF DAVID TIBET’S “SING OMEGA”

There were unfortunately some delays—not all of which were down to me this time—with the printing of the second edition of my collected lyrics, “SING OMEGA”. It is finally with the printers and we have an estimated delivery date of February 25. For those who ordered the first edition so long ago and who didn’t see the updates last year asking people to get in touch to confirm their present address, the small number of copies we put aside, and into storage, in anticipation of their contacting us, will be sent out around the same time. Thank you all for your patience.

TONY McPHEE’S “THE HUNT” REISSUED BY BURIED TREASURE

I am OverMoon to pass on news of a Tony (TS) McPhee release by Buried Treasure. Tony McPhee is UtterBluesBabel in UtterBabylon ITSELF!

I have already bought two copies of the 7"… BUY IT, AND THE DOWNLOAD, HERE: https://buriedtreasure.bandcamp.com/album/the-hunt

Their press release follows:

TONY McPHEE is one of the most influential guitarists to have emerged from the 1960s blues explosion. He founded THE GROUNDHOGS in 1963 and quickly became the backing band of choice for UK tours by JOHN LEE HOOKER, JACK DUPREE, JIMMY REED & HOWLING WOLF. He toured with THE ROLLING STONES and made several appearances on TOP OF THE POPS & THE OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST in the 1970s.

In 1973 Tony released a solo LP, "The Two Sides of Tony (T.S.) McPhee”, featuring a collection of personal blues songs. However, side two of the album presented something entirely different—“The Hunt”, a single track, 19 minutes long, with no guitars, two newly purchased ARP2600 synthesizers, an organ and a Bentley Rhythm Ace drum machine.

“The Hunt" is breathtakingly original—a stark, almost mediæval, distorted slab of electronics that precedes acts such as Suicide & Cabaret Voltaire by years. Tony also supplies lyrics, vitriolic, anti-fox hunting, and anti-establishment, with his passionate vocal giving the finger to the landed gentry and those who kill for “pleasure".

Buried Treasure are thrilled to present an edited version of the original 19 minute track on a limited edition 7" vinyl with digital digital download, tastefully condensed by radiophonic folkies REVBJELDE who also provide a screaming electro-waltz remix on the flipside.

With a special lyric + art card insert, this is a collectors' item for fans of Tony McPhee, the Groundhogs, prog-rock, vintage blues, modern blues and early electronics. RELEASED 15TH FEBRUARY 2015.
